1. Receipt & Image Processing
SplitExa processes receipt images exclusively to extract line item text, quantities, prices, taxes, and tip values using vision AI. Receipt images are streamed securely in real-time and are NEVER permanently stored on remote storage or databases.
2. In-Memory Session Usage
All extracted receipt items, added participant names, and calculated bill splits reside entirely in your browser memory during your active session. Clearing your browser state or clicking "Start Over" permanently wipes all active bill data.
3. AI Provider Infrastructure
Image recognition is powered by secure cloud API infrastructure. Images submitted for scanning are transmitted securely via SSL encryption and are used solely for immediate inference, conforming strictly to privacy standards.
4. Zero Tracking Cookies
SplitExa does not use cross-site tracking cookies or persistent identity profiles. We do not sell, rent, or monetize user data.
5. Policy Revisions
We reserve the right to update this policy as new features are added. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an adjusted revision date.
